MILAN — Treasurers believe that taking care of the taxpayers’ money is at the core of their responsibility. It’s part of the work ethic shared by current EHOVE Treasurer Larry Hanneman and Brad Deleruyelle, who will take over the post in August.
Deleruyelle will become only the fourth treasurer in EHOVE’s 48 years of operation. “It’s a good place to work and there’s longevity,” Deleruyelle said. “That doesn’t happen unless there are good people and a family environment.”
Originally from Ottawa, Ohio, Deleruyelle earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management from University of Toledo and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Findlay. He has gained treasurer experience for the past seven years at Pandora Gilboa Schools and two years before that at Continental Local Schools.
“I’m looking forward to being able to continue the work with great staff as we keep moving forward with the times, all while making accountability and transparency a top priority,” Deleruyelle said.
He and his wife, Melinda, have four children and reside in Ottawa. Also active in the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO), a non-profit organization that supports and assists school treasurers, business managers, transportation supervisors, food service and support staff, he currently serves as the West Central Chapter President.
