MILAN — Those looking to get started in a new career as a massage therapist can start at EHOVE Adult Career.
Applications are being accepted now.
Students will learn Swedish massage techniques and Chair massages, learn business practices and demonstrate professionalism, explore many career pathways of Massage Therapy, create short and long-term treatment plans and learn and incorporate into their massages knowledge of pharmacology, disease identification and modifications for massage.
“The massage therapy field is growing,” said Katie Fox, Massage Therapy Program Coordinator/Instructor. “Employment of massage therapists is projected to grow 23 percent through 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations. Continued growth in the demand for massage services will lead to new openings for massage therapists.”
Students will receive hands on learning experience inside and outside the classroom. In the classroom they will be working on fellow classmates during instruction where essential skills and massage techniques are demonstrated and learned with the instructor alongside. Outside the classroom they will be taking all the skills they have learned and using them in a clinical setting on the public, through chair massage and full body massage. “The students will learn to become safe, confident licensed massage therapists,” said Fox.
