Carol and Richard Presar

WAPAKONETA — Mr. and Mrs. Richard Prear, of Wapakoneta, celebrated 60 years of marriage Feb. 28, 2014. An open house was held at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta. A family dinner was held March 1st.

Presar and the former Carol Joyce Avery wre married Feb. 28, 1954, at Lima High Street EUB Church, in Lima, by the bride’s uncle the Rev. V.I. Sullivan and the Rev. Frank Hamblin.

They are the parents of three daughters, Cindy (Jack) Preston and Jennifer (Kevin) Frische, both of Wapakoneta and Lisa (David) Mittelkamp, of London; and one son, David (Linda) Presar, of Wapakoneta. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

Presar is an active farmer and semi-truck owner/operator. HIs wife is retired from Swonger’s Fruniture Store, in Moulton.
