Lima man injured when motorcycle hits deer
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A Lima man was injured early Wednesday when his motorcycle struck a deer in Shawnee Township.
According to a dispatcher with the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:10 a.m. Wednesday on state Route 117 near Copus Road. Larry Huber, 62, of Lima, was driving east on state Route 117 when his 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle struck the deer, overturned and slid off the right side of the road.
Huber was taken to St. Rita's Medical Center where a hospital spokeswoman said he was listed in fair condition Wednesday evening.
No citations were issued, the dispatcher said.
