Musician Paul Todd to play Lima Central Catholic fundraiser

Entertainer Paul Todd will be performing July 14 at the Lima Civic Center as a fundraiser for the Lima Central Catholic Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Todd is a Christian musician known for his prolific writing, composing, arranging and singing. He has headlined theaters and concert halls worldwide and also plays in Las Vegas. He is most famous for his unique concerts, playing as many as six keyboards simultaneously.

He has worked with Amy Grant, Michael Smith and Phil Driscol. Todd has composed the theme songs for prominent organizations such as Lutheran Men in Mission, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Christmas is for Children. His career began opening for such celebrities as The Pointer Sisters, Rich Little and Joan Rivers.

The money raised from the concert will go to a fund that provides financial aid to students who might otherwise be unable to attend Lima Central Catholic, said U. William Walter, who arranged for Todd's Lima concert. During the past five years, the educational fund has provided $474,000 to more than 350 students and more than $640,000 for operating expenses.

The concert will take place at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Civic Center box office, the LCC business office, Don Jenkins Jewelers, Stolly Insurance and the Lima Symphony Orchestra.
