I’ll be back on the mission field again. Returning to Africa is great. I am scheduled to do several leadership conferences after a brief stay in one of my favorite cities, Abuja, Nigeria. This could be any major city in the United States.
Recently, I was on a road trip in Africa, and I had to use the restroom. Well, it is not the same as being in the U.S. We stopped at a service station. I was looking for the restroom, which turned out to be an outhouse with a lock on the door. They unlocked the door, and I walked in very cautiously — and for good reason.
As I looked in the toilet, it looked like a snake coiled up. I stepped back and took another look. It turned out to be a big frog stretched out, so I decided to let the frog have the toilet. Everyone thought this was really funny. I did not — and I still needed a restroom.
Down the road a bit, we found another stop. I went to the restroom. There was a row of toilets, and not one of them had a toilet seat. Welcome to the mission field. You have to do what you have to do. At least there was a toilet.
I have so many people ask me why in the world do you go through what you go through on the mission field. That answer is so easy. My reason is because this is what the Lord has called me to, this is where my anointing lies, this is where my blessings comes from, this is where I am the happiest, and this is where I bring the Lord the most glory and honor.
I love what I do; I love the spiritual benefits of what I do. I love to see miracles on a regular basis; I love to see the lives of people change right before my eyes. And I love how grateful the people for whatever you do for them. I am anointed to do what I do; otherwise I could not do it.
I seem to draw closer to the Lord on the mission field. It seems the Lord speaks more to me on the mission field than any other place. The people of God need to get into their right position, into the position where things flourish in your life, where God speaks more into your life and where you receive fulfillment for your life and ministry. There is something so wonderful when you know that you are where God has placed you and you are doing exactly what the Lord wants you to do. The joy from that is unspeakable. And it’s such a place of safety. You are totally protected.
If the church were to ever to decide to work together, use their gifts together, stand together, suffer together, rejoice together, build the Kingdom of God together, oh what a wonderful place this would be. Too many separate, personal kingdoms going up. I decided a long time ago I cannot and will not assist in the building of them. We need one another ever so badly.
The Lord created things so we would need one another. Those one-man shows do not last, and they will not prosper. We need the entire Five-Fold Ministry to get the plans of God complete and successful, all of us working together for such a time as this.
I realize more than ever before that truly it will be only a remnant that is going to succeed. Many are stuck in their walk. Many have grown fat with the Word and have done nothing with it — just keep getting fatter. There are souls that we must reach before the Lord returns, and we do not have much time to get them into the Kingdom. Jesus is on His way back, sooner than we think. For those who say,” I have time,” I am here to tell you your time is up, you need to decide today, life or death. The decision is all yours as to where you will spend eternity. On the mission field, we see souls come in, in every service.
