In this season, the Lord is declaring war upon the spirit of Egypt (bondage). There is a serious problem when we can go to church week after week sick, wounded, depressed and fearful, and every week we return home in the same condition or worse.
In Ezekiel 32:17-32, we see that judgment has been proclaimed upon all of Egypt (bondage). One would not think it strange that one of the key reasons is possibly lack of faith, which is always a great reason we fail to receive from the Lord.
Recently the Lord was dealing with me concerning the fact that many in the church hear but fail to listen. The Holy Spirit said to me that we listen with our ears but we hear with our spirit. So, another reason people are still in bondage is because they are not hearing the Word of God. The word is not getting into their spirit man. When the word gets into your spirit, change comes into your life rapidly.
He went on to speak to me about terrorists. Terrorists in the world are a real threat, but He was speaking to me about the terrorists in the church. They are equally as real. According to the Lord, the spiritual terrorists are far worse than those in the world, because they are doing what they do all in the name of the Lord and — in their eyes — for the good of the church.
Some may be asking, what are spiritual terrorists? Spiritual terrorists are religious people — as opposed to faithful people. These are people who kill with their words. They lack the compassion of the Lord. They have been disconnected from the true vine (Christ), therefore, they fail to display the character of Christ. They do not move in the love of God but rather operate in the flesh and many times operate out of anger and jealousy.
Ezekiel 32:24 tells us that these people have gone down into the pit uncircumcised. Of course the pit is hell and the uncircumcised means that they did not have covenant with God. They failed to change. They failed to allow the Holy Spirit to cut away the foreskins of their heart, to cut away those things that are not pleasing to the Lord such as bad attitude, fear, jealousy, envy, unforgiveness, etc.
Ezekiel 32:31 speaks very clearly to us that these religious people listen to the words of the Lord, but they fail to do them. Their mouth speaks of all of the goodness of the Lord, but their hearts are far from the Lord.
It is time for change. Before change can take place, we must acknowledge that change is needed in our lives. The one thing that prevents us from acknowledging that we need change is pride. We all need to change in one area or another. If you ask the Holy Spirit the areas that need change in your life, He will show you. Once He shows you, then it is up to you to ask the Lord to bring forth that change in your life. Humble yourself to ask for that help.
If we intend to walk in the fullness of the Lord, there is one thing we must do — and that is change. Our focus is too much in the natural and the physical and too little in the spiritual.
