After realizing that the TNR (Catnip program) in the Lima area is on hold, due to unforeseen circumstances, I began a research into how to help this cause. Not only for the Lima area, but for any one interested in a low cost spay/neuter program that doesn't require red tape that discourages those people trying to help.

The only contract that is signed is the same as you would sign at any reputable clinic.

The Wyandot County Humane Society preforms spays/neuters for cats at a low cost. The feline male neuter is only $20 and the feline spay is only $40. This is by far the least expensive clinic I have found in our area. You can find their Website easily using their name in your search box. These prices are not a one day clinic, it is their prices daily. The only stipulation is that the fee has to be paid two weeks prior to surgery. If you take more than 3 at a time, you also get a 10% discount.

I have already scheduled many cats to be spayed/neutered being paid for privately. The WCHS take cats from any area with the idea that any help to get the cat population decreased is a must.

I am sure some will complain that they are a “kill shelter” and decide not to support their efforts. But keep in mind, just because there are shelters calling themselves a NO Kill Shelter, does in no way mean they do not euthanize animals.

People are the reason the cat population is out of control. Cats end up suffering for this. Euthanizing animals humanely is sometimes needed. Please take the time to get those cats in your area neutered/spayed to help the cause.
