Say NO to Medicaid Expansion.

A key component of the Affordable Care Act was written to expand Medicaid. So why are Statists so intent on shoving this agenda down our proverbial throats? It truly boggles the mind that seemingly intelligent people can be duped by the establishment: Y’all can’t be that ignorant, can ya?

Most of us believe in the biblical principle of helping the poor. This is spelled out clearly in the Old and New Testaments. However, God never intended us to become enablers or others to become dependents of the State. One can easily justify those families who are in dire straits financially to seek temporary assistance during difficult times, but the key here is temporary.

Interestingly, the proposed Medicaid expansion will not benefit moms with children but instead will allow benefits for able-bodied childless adults, the couch potatoes and freeloaders of society. The majority of this group will be those addicted to illegal drugs. Now isn’t that just dandy; instead of addressing the problem, John Kasich wants to help these poor souls to continue using their drugs at the expense of the taxpayers.

This tentacle of Obama care will not provide new jobs because those seeking a state handout have no intention of working. Duh! So why the big push? Aha! The big carrot of federal monies, $17.3 billion over five years. What they neglect to tell you is that this ruse will cost the citizens of Ohio $13 billion in taxes over the same period. Do the math!

There are those naïve folk that believe that if we do not accept the fed monies that they will be given to another state. Not! The monies just will not be spent, period! There is no guarantee that the feds will continue to support the state program in view of the fact that our government is broke! So why would responsible citizens want to add additional burden to the already bulging national debt?

It seems a more responsible endeavor to audit the present system and weed out the fraud, corruption and frivolous spending. What say ye? Say no to Medicaid expansion!

Thank You
