National Foster Care Month began with a Senate proclamation in 1988 to recognize the diligent work of foster parents in caring for foster children.
May provides us with the opportunity to recognize foster parents and their role in making the difference in the lives of our foster children day after day. The dedication demonstrated by the foster parents of Allen County Children Services is outstanding and the month of celebration was highlighted during an appreciation banquet on May 8.
While we truly appreciate your efforts all during the year, we want to take time this month to give a special thank-you. The tremendous contribution foster parents make to Allen County’s children cannot be measured.
