After an executive session, the board approved a motion “to retain the services of an attorney for a review of disciplinary action.”
Three people, more than 25 percent of the staff of 11, abruptly quit Feb. 6. The board met about the situation for the first time at its regular meeting Wednesday.
The firm specializes in human resources law and one that county agencies contract with for personnel issues, Civic Center Executive Director Cindy Wood said.
The hourly employees worked in event services. They had worked at the Civic Center between seven and 10 years. Wood previously declined to comment on specific details on why the employees left and did so again after the meeting.
