Relevant experience: Presently serving first term as Putnam County commissioner; former board member for the Putnam County Health Department; served on numerous volunteer boards; 31 years in public safety as Ottawa volunteer firefighter and chief; business owner for 28-plus years, U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam
Education: Business major at Capital University, Bexley; graduated from Indian College of Mortuary Science, Indianapolis, with degree in mortuary science

Major issues: It has been a privilege to serve the residents of Putnam County as commissioner for the past four years. One of the more pressing issues facing the county is the continuing effort to provide services with the resources available to us. The ongoing cooperation between elected officials, directors and department heads has allowed the county to continue providing superior services to its residents while reviewing their operations in an effort to reduce spending.
As commissioner, attention to the budget and spending, as well as maintenance of county-owned buildings, must remain a major priority. The issue of flood protection must continue to be explored through the efforts of the conservancy district. The effort to resolve the issues with county-operated sewer and water districts, including needed repairs to these systems for the benefit of the residents who depend upon them, is essential.
These issues and more shall remain my mission during the next four years while remaining accountable to the residents of Putnam County.
Candidates: Putnam County Commissioner
