LIMA - A levy request to keep Allen County's parks running for the next 10 years sailed through the polls on Tuesday night.

With all 88 precincts counted, the renewal for 0.75 mills for the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District succeeded, with 72.2 percent of voters approving it.

The levy raises $1.2 million per year, accounting for 80 percent of the district's total budget.
