Each general election, The Lima News provides this section profiling the candidates and issues. The Lima News sent questionnaires to every candidate in Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Putnam and Van Wert counties for this election section. Candidates had the opportunity to give biographical information and discuss major issues in their races. Candidates also had an option to submit a photograph. Only names and residences identify candidates who did not return a questionnaire. The township is in the center of a purposed windfarm and has a mega-manufacturing site planned within its borders. Have good knowledge of what a trustee’s job requires and to treat all fairly.Education: Lincolnview High School graduateYears living in area: 52Major issues: The windmill farms will be starting up in Ridge Township next year. I would make sure they fulfill their promise to repair or rebuild the road they travel on heavily. Maintenance of roads are not cheap, and they need to be held accountable. It is important for the township government to survive. Another state has dissolved township government. If this would happen in Ohio, county government would take over. They are hard pressed financially to sustain roads, grass mowing, general maintenance and most of all new projects that would benefit all, at the township level. In Ridge Township, I would like to make sure all are aware of monthly meetings so they may voice their concern or learn more about projects affecting them. I would like to keep the township well informed.
