Engineers visit Delphos St. John’s second-graders

DELPHOS — Delphos St. John’s School second-grade class was visited by two engineers from the Allen County Engineer’s Office to explain how math, science and teamwork play a major part in their day-to-day jobs.

Planning Engineer Ron Meyer and Bridge Technician Scott Little taught the second graders how Erie Canal bridges are designed by using a small-scale replica made out of paper and metal washers as an example.
