The Lima News

It has been a while since we’ve been through a winter like this.

Severe conditions began in the Lima region just before Christmas and have yet to end. We have been pounded with storm systems bringing either extremely cold weather, blowing snow or both. Once one system leaves, another has followed within days.

Through it all, area residents once again have been reminded of how winter weather conditions bring out the generosity of many people.

Some of you have called these folks your “snow angels.” They are neighbors or strangers who shovel your snow, help a stranded motorists, or stop by your house with a warm cup of soup.

These also are the people who make northwest Ohio a special place to call home.

If you’ve been the recipient of a special act of kindness during the recent snowstorms, we encourage you to share it with our readers. To do so, write down your experience and send it to: Snow Heroes, The Lima News, 3511 Elida Road, Lima, OH 45807. You can also e-mail to letters@limanews.com. Make sure you include your name, city and telephone number for verification purposes.

People enjoy reading such stories, and we enjoy sharing them.

We look forward to hearing from you.
