Ten arrested in drug trafficking
Comments 0 | Recommend 0KENTON - A six-month investigation has led to the arrest of 10 Hardin County people in multiple drug trafficking cases.
All 10, both men and women from throughout the county, were taken into custody by early Monday and will be arraigned in Hardin County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.
Lt. Keith Everhart, of the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, said the cases involve heroin, cocaine and marijuana.
Some of the cases are connected, but not all of them, Everhart said. No other information on the investigation was available Monday.
The investigation was a collaboration between the Sheriff's Office, Ada Police Department and the Hardin County Prosecutor's Office. The partnership resulted in numerous secret indictments.
"This came about through hard work by our narcotics officers out there every day dealing with stuff," Everhart said. He added that this many arrests are a bit unusual.
Everhart said all of the arrests went smoothly without incident. One more warrant has yet to be served.
The suspects in custody were transported to the Multi-County Jail in Marion.
