Putnam County man injured in crash

LEIPSIC -- A 24-year-old Leipsic man was thrown from his vehicle Monday evening and injured in a crash in Putnam County.

Putnam County Sheriff James Beutler said David Carpenter was northbound on state Route 65, at Road H, around 7:30 p.m., when he attempted to pass a vehicle pulling a wagon full of straw and went off the left side of the road.

Carpenter then rolled his vehicle, Beutler said, and was ejected. He was flown to St. Rita's Medical Center. His condition was unavailable late Monday because he was still be treated in the emergency room.
