Looking for a great place to walk?

It might be a little cold this week, but we encourage readers to cut out this map until a thaw hits Northeast Ohio in a few weeks.

Students in teacher Kim Haney’s classes at Steele High School have compiled helpful maps to guide residents along excellent walking routes throughout town.

Their efforts are part of the Live Healthy Lorain County campaign, a partnership between the health department and LorainCounty.com. It urges residents to find ways to get fit, use healthy recipes, get flu shots, and keep aware of health-related events in our area.

This week’s featured path links Amherst Junior High and Harris Elementary schools with neighborhoods on South Lake Street.
