Van strikes boy trying to cross road
Comments 0 | Recommend 0COLDWATER - A 10-year-old boy is in Children's Hospital in Dayton after a van struck him Saturday.
Ryan Miller, 10, of rural Coldwater, attempted to cross state Route 219, west of Grause Road, near Coldwater, at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, according to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office. A westbound van, driven by Christopher Grieshop, 24, of Coldwater, struck Miller.
A second young boy was also present and attempted to cross the road, but he stopped and was uninjured, according to the sheriff's office.
Miller was transported by EMS squad to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. Care Flight helicopter transported him to Dayton.
The accident remains under investigation.
