Jackson-Forest Ambulance District honored
The Jackson-Forest Ambulance District and Emergency Medical Services in Forest received the Ohio EMS star of life award as the Ohio volunteer agency of the year.
The award is given by the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS to agencies and individuals to honor exceptional EMS personnel from Ohio, recognize Ohio’s emergency medical services system and organizations for a job well done, reunite EMS providers with the person treated and present the patient scenario; generating positive media stories regarding pre-hospital care and magnifying the profile of national EMS week int he state of Ohio (May 19th through May 25th).
Miracle Method wins national award
Miracle Method of West Central Ohio received two awards at the annual Miracle Method conference. It received the 2012 most improved award for posting a 40 percent increase in sales, placing it in the president’s club.
The company was also included in the bronze producers club in recognition of an outstanding year.
Miracle Method is the largest bath and kitchen refinishing company in North America.
Apex Bag Company top in safety
The Apex Bag Company, in Wapakoneta, was the recipient of the outstanding plant safety experience award by the Paper Shipping Sack Manufacturers’ Association.
The company experienced a perfect safety record in 2012, with no recordable work-related injuries or illnesses during the entire year.
Lammers joins Archbold Equipment Co.
Jenae (Meck) Lammers has been hired as the marketing manager for Archbold Equipment Co., in Archbold.
Lammers earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration at Bluffton University, where she majored in marketing and management of information systems. She worked in Putnam County for the past 10 years in marketing, public relations and golf course management. She returned to Fulton County and is now a resident of Pettisville with her husband, Thomas.

St. Rita’s Women Wellness earns re-accreditation
The Women’s Wellness Center at St. Rita’s Medical Center has been awarded re-accreditation in stereotactic breast biopsy by the American College of Radiology.
The American College of Radiology gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. The American College of Radiology has also designated the center as a breast imaging center of excellence, as it is accredited in all aspects of breast imaging, including mammography, breast ultrasound, core biopsy and breast MRI.
White elected to Central Insurance board of directors
Janet L. White has been elected to the board of directors of Central Insurance Companies, of Van Wert, as well as her appointment to the executive committee of the Central Companies and promotion to senior vice president.
As senior vice president of human resources, White is accountable for the human resources, training and education and facilities departments. She also chairs the pension and savings and profit participation advisory and administrative committees, and she is a member of the management and risk management committees for the company.
White is a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She began her career at Central in February of 1979 in the commercial lines underwriting department as a technician. She was later promoted to commercial lines underwriter and then to senior underwriter. In February 1992, she transferred to human resources as employment manager. She was promoted to vice president of human resources in 2004. She earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and associate in general insurance designations.
White resides in Van Wert with her husband, John.
