Farmers can view research plots and take home the latest techniques to solving current field crop problems at the Ohio State University Western Agronomy Field Day on July 21.

The event is being held at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) Western Agricultural Research Station, 7721 South Charleston Pike, South Charleston, Ohio. The program will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The field day is an opportunity for farmers, industry specialists, certified crop advisers and other interested individuals to view some of the latest projects taking place at the research station, and compare research results to their own on-farm situations. The day also provides an opportunity to interact with university specialists and discuss problems and solutions for current field problems and potential future research.

Last year, the Western Agronomy Field Day showcased over 200 different research projects from nearly 30 researchers from Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

The Western Agronomy Field Day is free and open to the public.
