LIMA — Business is booming at Reineke Nissan, and that means new buildings with improved service for customers.Crews are moving dirt behind the existing building at 1350 N. Cable Road, dealership spokeswoman Suzie Reineke said. That first new building will be a new steel building holding a state-of-the-art service department. The new building will be operational by August, Reineke said. After that, crews will also build a new showroom and sales area pushed back further from the street and demolish the current sales area. That space will be ready by December.“It's going to move quickly,” Reineke said. “Ultimately the buildings will be helping us do what we do best. We pride ourselves on customer service. It's an exiting process for us.”The dealership is honoring a commitment with Nissan Manufacturing by constructing the new buildings. The project is being done with local contractors and subcontractors, Reineke said.Tom Reineke owns six dealerships in Lima, Fostoria, Findlay, Tiffin and Upper Sandusky. In Lima, Reineke employs 37 people at the Nissan dealership, 68 at the Ford/Lincoln dealership on Greely Chapel Road; 287 people are employed in total at the all the dealerships. Tom Reineke purchased the Ford dealership in September 2011 and opened it a month later, moving the Lincoln dealership from Cable Road to Greely Chapel Road. Reineke is the fifth owner of the Ford franchise since 2006.Reineke moved into the Lima market when he bought the Lima Mercury Mazada dealership in 2005. In April 2011, he bought the Nissan dealership from Lima Auto Mall and moved it to Cable Road. You can comment on this story at www.limaohio.com.
