GM awards sales consultants
Ryan Swaney and Mike Tanguay, retail sales consultants from the Lima Auto Mall, were awarded with the GM Mark of Excellence recognition. This achievement recognizes the best of the best in customer satisfaction expectations and training requirements.
Swaney and Tanguay will receive a ring, business cards, desktop award or nameplate update and a toolbox medallion or certificate of achievement.
Bluffton library receives award
The Ohio Library Council presented the Bluffton Public Library with an award for outstanding program.
The libraryís holiday extravaganza and silent auction preview held last November was recognized for its uniqueness and success.
Blanchard Valley Hospital honored for safety
Blanchard Valley Hospital has been named a recipient of the Healthgrades 2013 Patient Safety Excellence Award, and is in the top 5 percent of U.S. hospitals. This means Blanchard Valley Hospital is an excellent performer in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stays. This is the fourth consecutive year the hospital has received this award.
The Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award is based on a study released by Healthgrades that analyzed nearly 40 million hospitalization records from approximately 5,000 hospitals nationwide that participate in the Medicare program to determine how each hospital fared in preventing 14 of the most avoidable patient safety events.
Honda recognizes parts suppliers
Honda honored 53 suppliers in North America for excellence in key performance categories including quality, value and on-time delivery for their efforts during the companyís record production year in 2012.
Area businesses honored included: DTR Industries Inc., of Bluffton; Hitachi Medals AAmerica/AAP St. Marys Corp., of St. Marys; Setex/JCI and Setex Inc., both of St. Marys.
Knittle joins Quatman Disability Representation
Stephonie Knittle has joined the law practice of Attorney Janice Quatman as an assistant case manager at Quatman Disability Representation.
Knittle is currently attending UNOH pursuing her associateís degree in medical office management. She is available to assist new and established clients with the Social Security Disability process.
Knittle resides in Van Wert.
Broshes takes office as trustee
The Ohio Pharmacists Association installed Zachariah Broshes, of Lima, as trustee.
Broshes is a 2001 graduate of the Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy and has been a member of the Ohio Pharmacists Association since 2002. He is the director of clinical services at Pack Pharmacy, in Lima, as well as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Ohio Northern University. He is past-president of the Northwest Ohio Pharmacy Association and currently serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students.
Grieshop elected to hospital foundation board
David Grieshop was elected to the board of trustees at Joint Township District Hospital Foundation Board. The foundation is the fundraising arm of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys and is an affiliate of the Grand Lake Health System.
Grishop is the manager of healthcare benefits for Precision Strip in Minster. He also currently serves as vice president of Human Resources Association of Western Ohio and is a member of Minster Athletic Boosters and Minster Eagles. He resides in Minster with his wife, Karla.

USA Soy Solutions, LLC/BioBased Spray Systems, LLC, is a new company that provided ag based lubricants and hydraulic fluids as well as dust suppressants. The company patented the product BIORESTOR which is a USDA bio preferred asphalt rejuvenator sealer that is made from soybean and other agricultural oils.
Kindig and Coates attend convention
Dr. Marilyn Kindig and Dr. Michelle Coates attended the convention of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Clearwater, Fla. This conference covered high risk pregnancy issues, female cancer and surgery information. Both women work for Womenís Health for Life, 1005 Bellefontaine Av., Suite 175, Lima.
Webster qualifies for leaders conference
Trevor Webster, an Edward Jones financial adviser in Van Wert, qualified for the firmís 2013 financial adviser leaders conference.
This conference recognizes financial advisers who are among the leaders in the financial-services firm. The conference will provide additional training to help them serve more individual investors in their communities.
Webster was one of 793 financial advisors who qualified out of the firmís nearly 12,000 financial advisers.
