LIMA — Procter and Gamble Lima Plant Project Plant Site Leader Elia Lopez was recently presented with the Women in Manufacturing Step Ahead Award by the Manufacturing Insitute.
Lopez received the award to honor her excellence and leadership in her career. She was one of 130 STEP Ahead Award recipients to be recognized in Washington D.C. to highlight her story, leadership and accomplishments.
“I’m delighted to have been nominated for this prestigious award. It’s an honor to be recognized for the work that I am passionate about and I hope through this I can encourage more women to follow their dreams and embark on a career in manufacturing,” Lopez said in a news release.
“Elia thoroughly deserves this recognition for her outstanding contribution to Manufacturing, and in particular her leadership of the P&G Fabric Care Manufacturing Plant in Lima, Ohio. She is a true inspiration for her team, both male and female, and I know we’re incredibly grateful for all that she has done for P&G, for Lima and its community and will continue to do in the future,” said Luc Reynaert, Vice President, P&G Global Fabric Care Product Supply in a news release.
