LIMA — Allen County Clerk of Courts Margie Murphy Miller and Jennifer McBride, legal department supervisor in the clerk’s office, were recently presented with commendations from the Ohio Clerk of Courts Association at the association’s annual conference in Columbus.
Murphy Miller and McBride received recognition for credits gained by attending and participating in education seminars and monthly educational opportunities offered by the association in 2017. Certificates of commendations were presented by Justice Sharon Kenned, of the Ohio Supreme Court.
The state clerks’ association offered seminars on a wide variety of clerk of courts-related topics including dispute resolution, ADA compliance for websites, Ohio ethics laws, public records training, sovereign citizens and automobile titling issues.
“The monthly education seminars are an important resource for keeping on top of the constantly changing laws and procedures my staff and I need to know in both our legal and auto title offices,” Murphy Miller said. “My goal is to offer the best service possible to the residents of Allen County, and these classes are an essential part of helping me and my staff do that.”
