LIMA — The city of Lima has added online garage and yard sale permit applications to its website, and the online permit will be free, city officials said Wednesday.

Permits applied for in person will still have a $5 fee, Assistant Building and Zoning Administrator Amy Harpster said. To apply, visit the Building and Zoning Department at www.cityhall.lima.oh.us and click on apply for a garage sale permit, which will take the user to another site. The application will be reviewed and the user will be emailed a letter with approval or rejection. The application requires two business days, Harpster said.

Residents in the city can have up to three sales a year, with 60 days between each. Sales can be held for up to five days each. For information, call 419-221-5243.
