CRIDERSVILLE — Nina Henne, of Cridersville, will celebrate her 95th birthday June 23, 2014. An open house is planned from 2 to 4 p.m., today, June 22nd, at Cridersville Otterbein Clubhouse.


She was born June 23, 1919 to Earl and Iona Hoverman. On March 7, 1941, she married Robert Henne, and he died June 30, 2005.


Henne has many nieces and nephews and one great-great-great-niece.


She retired in 1984 from Hayes Albion Industries in Spencerville after 38 years of service. She also worked at the Tank Depot during WWII. She was a make-up artist for the Miss Ohio Pageant for several years as well.


Henne is a member of Spencerville VFW Auxiliary, the American Legion, Eastern Star and Cridersville United Methodist Church.


She enjoyed growing roses and planting beautiful flower beds. She is proud of her Cherokee Indian heritage.
