Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lang of Cardington will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on April 16. Mary Ellen Kelloms and Norman Lang were married April 16, 1954 by Rev. Curtis Rice in the United Methodist Church in Modoc, Indiana.
Mr. Lang is retired from 43 years with Con Rail and Mrs. Lang worked as a clerk and later as a nursing assistant. She then worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Indiana for three years and retired from serving as an apartment complex manager for seniors 55 and over. She is best know for her culinary and baking talents, having competed and won many contests.
The couple plan to celebrate their anniversary with a trip to Georgia and later a family dinner.
They are the parents of six children, Debbie (Gary Shire) of Marion; Rex (Ana Marie Peralis) Lang, Marengo; Pamela (Dave) Eichhorn of Texas; Jeffrey Lang of Union City, Tennessee; Jayne (Kahle) Rummer of Cardington and Cheryl (Dennis) Carver, Mount Gilead. The Langs have 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, six step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
