CRIDERSVILLE - Five people were taken to area hospitals after a two-car accident at 6:45 p.m. Saturday. The injuries were not serious.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Buckland-Holden and Townline Lima roads, southeast of Cridersville, said Trooper Jonathan Coffey of the Wapakoneta post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Mary Rapp, of Lima, was driving south on Townline Lima Road when she ran a stop sign and struck a vehicle driving west on Buckland-Holden Road. Four people were in the vehicle, but their names were not available late Saturday. They were transported to St. Rita's Medical Center. Rapp was taken to Lima Memorial Health System.

The accident remains under investigation.
