Peace Academy registration coming

Rhodes State College is offering a basic police academy this summer. After successful completion of the academy, students are qualified to take the required Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certification test to be a peace officer in Ohio.
The class sessions are from June 2 to Sept. 12. Application deadline is April 19. Academy orientations will be April 25 and 26. Classes are held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Students must be at least 21 years of age at completion of academy, pass Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation and FBI records checks, and pass a physical examination by a physician.
