Ohio Northern to host Lima Symphony Orchestra for holiday

Ohio Northern University will host the Lima Symphony Orchestra on the Fourth of July. The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the sculpture mall east of McIntosh Center between Presser and Weber halls.

The concert will also feature various vocal artists.

Pandora woman serves in Oregon

Halle Steingass, of Pandora, is a senior social work major at Goshen College. She is involved in the school’s Ministry Inquiry Program, leading her to serve across the country.

Steingass is serving at the Zion Mennonite Church in Hubbard, Oregon. The MIP program allows students to work in a faith-based setting in many platforms.

Welsh Society awards three with scholarships

The Welsh Society of Northwest Ohio, in Gomer, has awarded three $500 scholarships to students of Welsh descent.

Students include Hannah Leigh Bass, who attends Rhodes State University; Emily Ann Siefker, who attends the University of Findlay; and Heather Pohlman, who attends Bowling Green State University.
