Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Jan. 2

Pennymac Loan Services, LLC, Westlake Village, Calif., was granted a foreclosure judgment against Nathaniel A. Punches, Leipsic, in the amount of $53,937,75, plus interest and costs.

Putnam County Prosecutor Gary Lammers has asked for the appointment of a special prosecutor in a matter under investigation regarding the improper handling of records by unspecified township officials. Ohio Auditor Assistance Chief Legal Counsel Robert Smith was appointed to prosecute the action.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Dec. 28

Robert J. Nienberg, 58, 517 S. Main St., Lima, charged with OVI, felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Jan. 2

Sheri L. Sigler, 58, 392 W. Findlay St., Vaughnsville, pleaded guilty to drug possession. Sentence: $150 fine and a six-month license suspension. She was also fined $250 for wrongful entrustment.

Jan. 4

Michael Cervantes, 54, 610 Liberty St., Leipsic, pleaded no contest to OVI and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit for three days upon completion of DIP.

Jesse J. Bohrer, 42, 140 Spring St., Ottawa, was found guilty of physical control. Sentence: $500 fine. He was also fined $50 for failure to display reg/expired plates. Charges of OVI, two counts, and failure to display reg/expired plates were dismissed.
