Armed suspect gets away with cash, no one hurt

LIMA — Lima police are looking for a suspect who robbed the Advance America Cash Advance at 1100 N. Cable Road around 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Police detective Steve Stechschulte says the suspect was a light- to medium-complected black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, about 5’8” to 6’ tall with a medium build.

He was wearing dark clothing and brandishing a handgun.

The robber got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

It’s believed he fled on foot to a waiting vehicle.

Police were tipped off when an employee of the business set off a silent alarm.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

Police investigators will be looking at closed circuit video of the incident to see if they can identify the suspect.
