Public’s help requested to find suspect in St. Marys stabbing


ST. MARYS — Police are searching for a slender white male who is wanted for questioning in connection with a stabbing in St. Marys.

According to Police Chief Jacob Sutton, police responded at 3:30 a.m. Thursday to the 100 block of South Pearl Street in response to the report of a stabbing. The suspect reportedly fled on foot in a southbound direction through an alley between Vine and Pear streets. He was described to police as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing dark clothing and a hoodie.

Sutton said unspecified evidence was collected at the scene. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the police department at 419-394-2325.
