MIDDLE POINT — Two separate accidents Wednesday in the eastbound construction zone on U.S. 30 between Van Wert and Middle Point involved commercial vehicles that left the roadway.
The first accident, at 4 a.m., involved a tractor trailer rig. For an unknown reason, the driver of the truck went off the right side of the road and ended up in a creek just east of Hoaglin Center Road.
The driver was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima with minor injuries.
