LIMA — With a full month under their belt, the owners of Dash & Joey’s Gourmet Smoothies and Juices are giving back to customers with a new rewards program, increased ordering options and a community event that will benefit a local nonprofit.

Dash & Joey’s, a gourmet smoothie and juice bar that opened June 29 in Lima, has garnered a positive response from local residents, according to owners Chad Endsley and John Mills.

“The support we’ve received has been tremendous,” Endsley said. “It’s really exceeded my expectations because I thought Lima would love it, but I didn’t know they would support it this much. It’s been awesome.”

Based on this response, Endsley and Mills have created a rewards program for frequent customers. Those who sign up for the program will receive their tenth smoothie for free. In addition, customers who enroll in the text message program will earn a free “shot,” which combines ingredients such as ginger, lemon, wheat grass, lime and other elements into a cocktail that is meant to boost health.

Dash & Joey’s has also implemented call-ahead ordering for busier customers who may not have time to wait in line, and it is working on a delivery service to bring their smoothies and juices right to people’s doors. Endsley and Mills said the delivery service will roll out sometime in the near future, though they do not have an exact date.

On Aug. 26, Dash & Joey’s will donate 10 percent of its profits to Deb’s Dogs, a nonprofit organization that provides shelter and medical care to animals in need. Deb’s Dogs will be at the shop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day.

“Dash and Joey are my dogs’ names, so we just thought that would be a perfect fit and a great organization to donate to,” Endsley said.

Dash & Joey’s is located at 435 S. Eastown Road in Lima. For more details about the smoothie and juice bar or to view the full menu, visit dashandjoeys.com.
