Regional planning group receives award for clean audit

LIMA — The Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission is one of 10 Ohio agencies to receive the Ohio Auditor of State Award for having a clean audit.

For an audit to be considered clean, a local government agency or school district must file timely financial reports to the auditor’s office in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and it must not have any findings for recovery, material citations or weaknesses, significant deficiencies or questioned costs in the audit. Additionally, the entity’s management letter must not contain any comments in reference to ethics referrals, questioned costs less than $10,000, a lack of a timely report submission, a failure to obtain a timely Single Audit or any findings for recovery of less than $100.
