America to perform in Lima in September

LIMA — The classic rock band America will perform in Lima at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, in Crouse Performance Hall at the Lima Veterans Memorial Civic Center.

Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, April 21. Tickets are $39, $49, $59 and $75, depending on your seat location. Purchase tickets online at limaciviccenter.com, by calling 419-224-1552 or in person at the box office between noon and 5 p.m. at 7 Town Square, Lima.

America, which formed in 1970, is best known for its signature song, “A Horse With No Name,” a No. 1 hit in 1972. It also produced “Sister Golden Hair,” a chart-topper in 1975. Other songs include “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway,” “Don’t Cross The River,” “Tin Man” and “Lonely People.”
