Sheriff detectives looking for gas station robber
LIMA — Sheriff detectives are looking for the man who robbed a gas station Tuesday afternoon.
The man, described as 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10, with a stocky build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black mask over his face, entered the Marathon Stop and Go station at state routes 65 and 115 at 2:40 p.m., Allen County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jimmy Everett said.
The man had a long-barrel black revolver. He demanded cigarettes and money from the cashier. Once he got what he wanted the man ran away north along state Route 115, Everett said.
The clerk activated an alarm to call for help, Everett said.
The man was not found and its unknown whether he had a car waiting nearby, Everett said.
No one was injured in the incident, Everett said.
