LEIPSIC — Rachelle Marie Schroeder and Christopher Paul Ruhe were married at 1 p.m., Aug. 18, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Leipsic by Father George Wenzinger.
Parents of the bride are Nick and Connie Schroeder, of Leipsic.
Parents of the groom are Greg and Carol Ruhe, of Ottawa.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Nick Schroeder.
She wore an ivory taffeta mermaid style gown with a sweetheart neckline and one shoulder strap. The bodice had delicate beaded appliques and asymmetrically gathered taffeta. The skirt was made of taffeta with pickup detail to add volume and featured a chapel length train. Her veil was a birdcage veil, handmade from her mother’s wedding veil and accented with a feather headpiece embellished with rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of coral colored lilies, yellow alstromeria and white stock flowers adorned with her grandmother and great-grandmother’s wedding rings.
Matron of honor was a friend of the couple’s, Jennifer Moening. Bridesmaids included the groom’s sister, Katie Ruhe, the groom’s sister-in-law, Faye Ruhe, the fiance of the bride’s brother, Lisa Karhoff, the bride’s cousins, Jenni Schroeder and Kayla Schroeder, and a friend of the couple, Jessica Evers.
Best man was the groom’s brother, Nick Ruhe.Groomsmen were the bride’s brothers, Derek Schroeder, Jobe Schroeder and Trent Schroeder, the groom’s cousins, Kent Ruhe and Joseph Smith and a friend of the couple, Aaron Gerdeman. Ushers were the Chad Moening and Derek Maas, both friends of the couple.
The reception was held at the Leipsic Fogle Center.
The couple reside in rural Columbus Grove.
