Mindy and Eric Stewart

KALIDA — Mindy Kay Vorst and Eric Michael Stewart exchanged wedding vows at 7 p.m., April 7, 2012, at The Florida Aquarium, in Tampa, Fla.

Parents of the bride are Connie and Ed Ladd, of Glandorf and Joe Vorst, of Kalida. Parents of the groom are Patty and John Wood, of Palmetto, Fla. and Richard Stewart, of Pinellas Park, Fla.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Joe Vorst.

The bride wore an ivory satin strapless A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline, lace-up back, asymmetrical ruching on the bodice and side drape on skirt. Her spring bouquet was embellished with a sapphire butterfly broach that had belonged to her great-grandmother Niese. She also wore the diamond ring and wedding band that her late Grandma Maag wore on her wedding day. The bride borrowed from her new sister-in-law, a necklace and matching earrings of Grecian pearls.

Maid of honor was the couple’s friend, Angie Laudick, of Kalida. Bridesmaids were the grooms sister, Tammie Moser, of Seminole, Fla., the bride’s sister-in-law, Mandy Vorst, of Kalida and the couple’s friend, Deb Wannemacher, of Kalida. Flower girl was the groom’s cousin, Megan Wilgus, of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Best man was the couple’s friend, David Williams, of Clearwater, Fla. Groomsmen included, the bride’s brother, Jake Vorst, of Kalida, the groom’s brother-in-law, Zack Moser, of Seminole, Fla., and the couple’s friend, Rob Schmidt, of St. Petersburg, Fla. Ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Dominic Vorst, of Kalida.

The couple enjoyed a Royal Caribbean cruise on “Jewel of the Seas” which departed from Tampa, Fla. with Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico Ports-of-call.

The couple resides in Pinellas Park, Fla.
