LIMA — Michelle Rae Heronemus and Erik Martin Shock were married at 1 p.m., Nov. 19, 2011, at the Chapel of Resurrection at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind., by the Rev. Mark Larson.Parents of the bride are Steven and Suzanne Heronemus, of Batavia, Ill.Parents of the groom are Randy and Karla Shock, of Lima.The bride was given in marriage by her father, Steven Heronemus.Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Claire Heronemus. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Wicks, of Batavia, IL, Christine Alfano, of Tuscaloosa, AL, Alana Mackenthun, of Chicago, Ill, and A’ndrea Monday, of Lima. Flower girl was Gracie Monday, of Lima, the groom’s niece.Best man was Brandon Arnold, of Peoria, Ill. Groomsmen included Andrew Monday, of Lima, Matthew Smith, of Valparaiso, Ind, John Heronemus and Matthew Heronemus, both of Batavia, Ill. Ushers were Daryl Croy, of Ottawa, uncle of the groom and Jacob Martens, of Batavia, IL., friend of the bride.A reception was held at the County Line Orchard, in Hobart, Ind.The bride is a graduate of Batavia High School and Valparaiso University with a bachelor’s degree in theater. She is employed by the Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Ill., and also freelances in theater.The groom is a graduate of Shawnee High School and Valparaiso University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He is employed as a juvenile probation officer, in Porter County, Ind.The couple took a honeymoon trip to Wisconsin and will be going to Aruba in the spring.They reside in Valparaiso, Ind.
