Area churches are hosting a variety of services for this Holy Week. From Palm Sunday through Good Friday, services range from music to tenebrae services to Masses. Below is a listing of times, services and church locations to help you find a place of worship.



Bethel Church of Christ will host a 7 p.m. service on Good Friday at the church, 4014 County Road 304, Ada.



At Calvary Bible Church, the Good Friday service, which includes Holy Communion, begins at 7 p.m. The church is located at 3180 W. Elm St., Lima.



Christ United Methodist Church will host an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. today at the church, 311 S. Main St., Continental. Along with the egg hunt, there will be various activities and lunch.



The Church at Allentown will host “UnBound” at the 7 p.m. Palm Sunday service today. On Sunday, “The Journey” will be at the 11 a.m. service. On Maundy Thursday, a service will begin at 7 p.m. On Good Friday, the service will also begin at 7 p.m. The church is located at 4900 Allentown Road, Lima.



Church of the Holy Nativity, Anglican, will offer Holy Communion with the blessing and distribution of palms at the 10 a.m. Palm Sunday service. On Maundy Thursday, stripping of the altar and Holy Communion will be offered at the 5 p.m. service. On Good Friday, a 5 p.m. service will include Evening Prayer and Stations of the Cross. The church is located at 2495 N. Cole St., Lima.



Columbus Grove community’s Maundy Thursday service will begin at 7 p.m. at St. John United Methodist Church, 205 N. High St. On Good Friday, the community service will begin at 7 p.m. at the Columbus Grove Christian Church, 105 S. Broadway, Columbus Grove. The Friday service will also include two anthems from the community choir.



The Convoy United Methodist Church will offer the cantata, “The Long Journey,” at 9:30 a.m. Palm Sunday at the church in Convoy. On Maundy Thursday, a service with Holy Communion begins at 7 p.m. On Good Friday, a 1 p.m. service will be held.



Faith Christian Church will host a Tenebrae service at its 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service at the church, 2223 Shawnee Road, Lima. That service will also include Holy Communion.



First Baptist Church will celebrate Palm Sunday at its 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. The Lafayette Community Chorus will present its cantata at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 451 N. Cable Road, Lima. On Maundy Thursday, the 7 p.m. service will include Holy Communion.



At First Evangelical and Reformed Church, Pastor Edward Rinehart will discuss “Jesus’ True Family” at the 10:15 a.m. worship service on Palm Sunday. On Maundy Thursday, Pastor Rinehart will preach “The Confession of Peter” at the 7 p.m. service, also with Holy Communion. The church is located at 320 W. Wayne St., Lima.



The Free Christian Church of God will host the Easter drama, “A Journey Through Time” Wednesday through Friday at the Continental church. Tours will begin hourly from 6 to 9 p.m. Free tickets are required by calling 419-596-3103. Guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item with them for donation to a local food pantry.



Gomer United Church of Christ will host a Maundy Thursday service at 7:30 p.m. at the church, 7350 Gomer Road, Gomer.



Harrod United Methodist Church will host a Maundy Thursday service with Holy Communion at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, 100 N. Oak St., Harrod.



At Immanuel Lutheran Church, a Maundy Thursday worship service will begin at 7 p.m. On Good Friday, a Tenebrae Service of Darkness starts at 7 p.m. The church is located at 2120 Lakewood Ave., Lima.



Immanuel United Methodist Church will host an Easter egg hunt at 4 p.m. on Palm Sunday at the church. Entertainment will be provided for that by David Cain, Juggler for Jesus. That will be followed by a meal, and the youth of the church hosting their extreme egg hunt at 6:30 p.m. at the church, 699 Sunnydale Ave., Elida. On Maundy Thursday, a traditional service of “Stones to Bread” will be presented at 7 p.m. On Good Friday, a walk through the Stations of Christ will be open from 5 to 8 p.m., during which time people may walk through at their own pace. Childcare will be provided for the services.



The Lafayette Community Good Friday service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Lafayette First United Methodist Church.



The Lafayette Community Chorus will present its 63rd Easter cantata, “No Stone Could Hold Him In: A Dynamic Witness to the Living Rock of Our Salvation,” at 2:30 p.m. on Palm Sunday at the Lafayette United Methodist Church. On Tuesday, the cantata will be performed at 7:30 p.m. at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Lima, and at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Lima. The chorus is directed by Dennis Dellifield, with accompanists Karen Joseph and Tryna Brown.



Lima’s Good Friday community service will begin at 7 p.m. at South Side Christian Church, 3300 South Side Dr., Lima.



Market Street Presbyterian Church will celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem at its 11 a.m. service on Palm Sunday. On Maundy Thursday, a Tenebrae service, with Holy Communion, will begin at 7 p.m. The church is located at 1100 W. Market St., Lima.



Maysville United Methodist Church will host a Good Friday service, including Scripture, meditation and prayer, at 6 p.m. Friday at the church, 1250 Hardin Road, Harrod.



At New Creation Lutheran Church, Palm Sunday worship begins at 10 a.m. Sunday. A Maundy Thursday service will be offered at 7 p.m. Thursday and a Good Friday service will be offered at 7 p.m. Friday. The church is located at 2701 Allentown Road, Lima.



New Faith Missionary Church will host a Communion and Love Feast at its 7 p.m. service on Maundy Thursday. The church is located at 1660 Lutz Road, Lima.



The Pandora United Methodist Church will host the Pandora Community Good Friday service, beginning at 7 p.m. at the church, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora. The service, “The Seven Last Words,” will include participation from various churches, and two anthems from the community choir.



Rousculp Church of Christ will host a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday at the church, 890 Amherst Road, Lima.



Salem Mennonite Church will offer a choir presentation at its 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. Along with song, the story of Jesus’ last week on earth will be presented in Scripture and visuals. The church is located at 4275 W. State Road, Elida.



St. Charles Borromeo will offer Masses at 5 p.m. today and 8 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Palm Sunday at the church, 2175 W. Elm St., Lima. On Holy Thursday, there will be no 8 a.m. Mass, but the Mass of the Lord’s Supper will begin at 7 p.m. that day. On Good Friday, the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed at 1:45 p.m. by Living Stations of the Cross. The Tenebrae service begins at 8 p.m. Friday.



St. John Catholic Church will host a city-wide Penance Service at 3 p.m. Palm Sunday at the church, 777 S. Main St., Lima.



St. Luke Lutheran Church will offer Good Friday Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. at the church, 209 W. North St., Lima. A procession will start at the church and proceed down West Street to St. Rose Catholic Church.



St. Mark United Methodist Church will include a Parade of Palms at the 10:15 a.m. service on Palm Sunday at the church, 1110 N. Metcalf St., Lima. On Maundy Thursday, the church will host a 7 p.m. service.



At St. Matthew Lutheran Church, a service with Holy Communion will be offered at 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday. On Good Friday, the church will host the Shawnee-Cridersville community service at 7 p.m. The church is located at 5050 St. Matthews Drive, Lima.



St. Paul United Methodist Church will offer a Palm Sunday worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday at the church, 105 E. Main St., Elida. On Maundy Thursday, a service with Holy Communion will begin there at 7 p.m.



South Side Christian Church will host the Lima community Good Friday service, beginning at 7 p.m. Friday at the church, 3300 South Side Drive, Lima.



Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jenera will host a Palm Sunday celebration at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. services Sunday at the church. That service will include students of Trinity Lutheran School joining with the adult choir for “Come, Faithul People.” On Maundy Thursday, the choir will sing “Remember” at the 7 p.m. service. On Good Friday, the message “Names of Wondrous Love: The Alpha and the Omega” will be preached at the 7 p.m. service. The church is located at 301 N. Main St., Jenera.



Trinity United Methodist Church will hold a community breakfast at 8 a.m. Palm Sunday at the church, 301 W. Market St., Lima. That will be followed by an 8:30 a.m. Chapel worship and a 10:30 a.m. worship service. On Maundy Thursday, a Coffee House drama will begin at 7 p.m. A Tenebrae service will be held at 7 p.m. on Good Friday.



The Kentucky Mountain Bible College Choir will perform in concert at a 6 p.m. service on Palm Sunday at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 414 E. Market St., Lima.



An Easter musical, “He’s Alive,” will be performed at 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday at the Upper Room Church of God, 520 W. Bigelow Ave., Findlay. Free tickets are available by calling the church at 419-422-8017 weekday mornings. A special needs performance will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday. No tickets are required for that performance.



The Van Wert community will celebrate Good Friday with a community service from 12:05 to 1 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, 113 W. Central St. This year’s freewill offering goes to the city’s Release Time Bible Program, Cross Over the Hill.



Waynesfield Baptist Church will present a children’s Easter drama at the 10:30 a.m. service on Palm Sunday. That will be preceded by an 8:30 a.m. morning worship, and Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. The church is located at 512 N. Westminster St., Waynesfield.



The Waynesfield Lion’s Club will be the site of Holy Week services for the Waynesfield community. Services there will begin at 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, which will include Holy Communion, and 7 p.m. on Good Friday.



At Westside United Methodist Church, Pastor Bill Cronk will discuss “When God Uses Our Relationships” at the 10:15 a.m. service on Palm Sunday. On Maundy Thursday, Pastor Cronk will lead a service of remembrance on the sacrifice of Jesus at 7 p.m. The church is located at 604 Gloria Ave., Lima.



Zion Lutheran Church in Lafayette will observe Palm Sunday at the 10 a.m. worship Sunday. On Maundy Thursday, a 7 p.m. service will be held at the church, 101 E. Main St., Lafayette.



Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lima will offer a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, and a Good Friday service at 8 p.m. Friday. The church is located at 1300 Edgewood Drive, Lima.



Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys will host a community Palm Sunday worship with Holy Communion at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. At 9:15 a.m. an Easter Egg hunt will be held, and at 5 p.m. Sunday, a Seder Meal will be offered. On Maundy Thursday, a service of First Communion and stripping of the altar will begin at 7 p.m. And on Good Friday, a service of shadows will also begin at 7 p.m. The church is located at 210 N. Wayne St., St. Marys.
