The church has been in the process of reformation. Great change has taken place and is yet taking place for those willing to surrender all to the Lord and follow the Holy Spirit.
There are patterns that we must follow, and they are all in the word of God. These changes have been especially with leaders, which are many times the very ones who resist the changes of the Lord the most. This is the season in the church that we need to put into practice all of the past lessons we have learned. You know those life-changing things — you dare not forget, nor do you dare take them lightly. Instead, youimmediately put them into practice and grow from them.
During the course of this reformation, God is restoring some critical things that the church has possibly taken for granted, ignored, overlooked or just refused to do. One of the things that are being brought back to the forefront is the importance of corporate prayer. Corporate prayer is so powerful. We know that prayer was going up in the temple seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The kingdom of God will not be able to manifest in the fullness with only a few moments of prayer per day (Eph.6:18; Acts 6:4). As a result of the devoted prayer of the apostles, they were able to experience wonderful supernatural visitations of angels on a regular basis. Corporate prayer must come forth more than ever before.
The church has not experienced the Shekiniah Glory — the literal indwelling of the spirit that is described as a pillar of smoke in Exodus — as of yet. There is so much more on the way to the faithful and obedient church. We have been preparing for the great "wow" of God. The church is in position for bringing forth. It's on the delivery table with the pains coming every three minutes, and the Lord recently spoke to me that we are in a season of deep press. When the pains come, we must push and push, until the baby comes forth. We have entered into a season of great importance.
Recently, I was traveling out of town to minister. When I woke up and looked outside, the roads were not looking good at all. In my spirit, I knew I had to travel no matter the condition of the roads. We left, and the roads on the interstate were looking really bad as well. We traveled only a few miles and suddenly the roads were snow free and dry.
The Lord spoke to me and said, "This is key for this season, that we follow our spirit man and not be moved by what we see or hear.” The entire trip was free of snow, but it did not start out that way. We must press our way through to wellness, freedom and prosperity. We must pray our way through to total victory; we must pray without ceasing. Remember, the saints prayed for Peter’s release from prison, and what a release. It was totally supernatural. Peter was asleep between two guards. The light came, the angel came, the chains fell off and deliverance came. This was all because of a group of saints who dared to pray until Peter was released from prison. Even the gates opened supernaturally for Peter to leave. Peter thought he was watching a vision, when in reality the Holy Spirit was moving in his midst.
The sending churches are missionary churches where the men and women of God have had apostolic teaching, training, equipping, impartation and empowerment to go forth and build the kingdom of God and overturn, uproot, tear down the kingdom of darkness, release the light and bring forth a hostile takeover upon the earth for the glory of the Lord. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. We must bring heaven down to earth.
