I am sure that most would agree that Jesus Christ is very soon to come. We indeed look around us and read the Bible and know that the Bible is fulfilling itself quite rapidly. Our task as believers is twofold, to watch for Him, and most importantly be ready when He does come. Of course, the enemy is busy in ways that many do not recognize.

The topic of grace seems to be at the top of discussion. If anyone tells you that sin will not send you to hell, please back up and run as fast as you can. Yes, we are in the dispensation of grace. Grace is the power to do the will of God, something we cannot purchase; it is all about what Jesus has already done for us. As believers, we have been redeemed from sin, past present and future. However, can we still sin? You bet. But we can go the Father, repent, and turn and move on. We should not be sin conscious, nor can we live in sin any longer without repentance and expect to spend eternity with God.

We are righteous because of what Jesus has done for us. There is nothing you can do to make yourself righteous. Works will not cause you to be righteous. Because of what Jesus has done, we can stand firm and declare, "I am righteous, and be right. We cannot, however, give people the license to sin and feel good about it.

When we accept Jesus as our personal savior, we exchange our black T-shirt for a white T-shirt, so to speak. When a believer sins, then we have a black spot on our white T-shirt. When that black spot comes off, as we repent and turn from that sin, your T-shirt is still white. Hell is real, and our Lord does not desire any of us to go there.

We are in a season where many of us have been going through metamorphoses of sorts. We have all been confronted with drastic changes in our lives, and for good reason. The Lord is fine tuning us in this hour. He's preparing us for the task of being carriers of His glory, preparing us to take back what the devil has stolen from us, preparing us a great spiritual battle that will change the course of things around the world. He is preparing us for possession of our promised land that comes through righteousness. He is preparing us for a new anointing, the King Priest Anointing after the order of Melchisedec.

First we have the prophetic anointing, which deals with ministry of the word and gifts of the Holy Spirit (Revelation 10:10; Ephesians 4:9-11 and I Corinthians 14:1). Second is the kingly anointing, which deals with the ministry authority, ruling, reigning and the power over the enemy (Revelations 1:6; 5:10; I Peter 2:5-9; Matthew 16:16-18). Third, the priestly anointing is the ministry of reconciliation, intercession, prayer, worship and prayer (I Peter 2:5-9; Revelations 1:6; 5:10).

This anointing is so holy. It comes in three stages. First is affirmation. The Lord affirms your call, and this anointing comes with many challenges and tests because this is a condition of the heart. It is like David after he was anointed king for the first time. His assignment was King Saul, an evil demon-possessed king. He had to learn the art of dodging spears and singing to the king when the evil spirits would torment him.

Then comes ordination, with the second anointing. David was king over Bethlehem. You have passed all of the tests and it is now time for promotion. This is a time of great spiritual growth. This is a place for overcomers. The Lord wants to make sure that you are able to handle what lies ahead in the final anointing. Many never make it to the second level. Many give up and quit because of the trials and testing.

The final anointing is the anointing of destination. You have now arrived at the place you have been destined for. Like David, now he becomes king over all of Israel. God knows that He can trust him with his destiny. Destiny is the natural and spiritual you have been born to perform in life. We are to grow in spirit, in wisdom, in grace, in stature, in faith and favor. Shalom.
