SPENCERVILLE — Olvene “Pete” Schneider Hill, of Spencerville, will celebrate her 90th birthday March 7, 2013. An open house is planned from 2 to 4 p.m., March 9, 2013, at Spencerville’s Roselawn Community Room. A card shower would be appreciated. She was born March 7, 1923, to Virginia Reed and Everett Schneider. She married Hershel Hill, and he died in April of 1993.
Hill has three daughters, Barbara Patterson, of Spencerville, Dee (Keith) Summerall, of Savannah, Ga. and Carol Bivens, of Delphos; and two sons, Tom (Iris) Felton, of Melborne, Fla. and Doug Felton, of Harriman, Tenn. She has10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
She retired from Channel 44, in Orlando, Fla, a public television station. Hill owned a restaurant in downtown Lima (Jim’s lunch). While living in the Lima area, she worked at many restaurants.
Hill loves to play cards, Bingo and work crossword puzzles.
