BLUFFTON — All-things-Bluffton will be the focus of this year’s annual Homecoming at Bluffton University.
“Excitement is in the air, and there’s lots of good reasons for alumni to come back to campus,” said Julia Szabo, director of alumni relations and annual giving at Bluffton University.
But the excitement is not just for alumni. This year’s homecoming will offer a little bit for a lot of different interests.
“We’ve got two new reunions going on. The softball alumni are coming back, and they’re going to play a game against the current softball team. Also new this year will be a reunion of artists who have graduated from Bluffton in the 1970s, and their works will be displayed in a special art exhibit, ‘35 Years: The Artist Coterie of 1974,’” Szabo said.
There will be opportunities for alumni to show the school, and its attributes, to the next generation. And there will be time for the older generation to admire and remember their years at Bluffton.
“As requested by our students, we’re also offering T-shirts to our more recent graduates. It’s nice to see grads of all ages come back to Bluffton. And we have these special affinity gatherings that will help promote that,” she said.
