OTTAWA ó Mr. and Mrs. Bill Meyers, of Ottawa, will celebrate 60 years of marriage Oct. 3, 2013. A 10 a.m. Mass is planned at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Ottawa. An open house is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m., July 28, 2013, at the Ottawa VFW. The couple request that gifts be omitted.
Meyers and the former Angela Wrasman were married Oct. 3, 1953, at St. Johnís Catholic Church, in Landeck, by the Re. Robert Knoepfle.
They are the parents of one son, Larry (Caroline) Meyers, of Marysville; and six daughters, Tina (Steve) German, of Loveland, Monica (Mark) Hemingway, of Columbia Falls, Mont., Carol Meyers, of Van Wert, Nancy Hovest, of Pandora, Rose (Hal) Mandly, of Harwinton, Conn., and Lisa (Tom) Tijerina, of Las Cruces, New Mex. They have 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Meyers retired after 30 years from Ex-Cello. He retired from Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant after 24 1/2 years of service. His wife retired from Philips in Ottawa after 24 years of service.
