DENHAM SPRINGS, LA. — Mr. and Mrs. Earl Harps, of Denham Springs, La., formerly of Lima, will celebrate 75 years of marriage Nov. 22, 2012. An open house is scheduled at 2 p.m., Nov. 18, 2012, at Oakleigh House of Receptions.
Harps and the former Betty Mort were married Nov. 22, 1937, in Cairo.
They are the parents of one daughter, Judy Williams, of Ada. Two daughters, Saundra Walker, of Denham Springs, La. and Debra Ott are deceased. They have eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Harps is retired from Westinghouse, in Lima. His wife drove bus for Shawnee High School, in Lima, and worked at McDonald’s in Denham Springs, La. until she retired.
